Lemann Distinguished Visiting Professor, Spring 2024

Suzel Ana Reily is Titular Professor of Ethnomusicology at the State University of Campinas. She recently coordinated the FAPESP Flagship Project "Local Musicking: new trajectories for ethomusicology". Her publications include Musicar local: trilhas para a etnomusicology (with F. Toni and R. Hikiji, forthcoming); The Routledge Companion to the Study of Local Musicking (with K. Brucher, 2018), which was awarded the 2019 Ellen Koskoff Prize; The Oxford Handbook of Music and World Christianities (with J. Dueck, 2017). She teaches MUS 514 - Local Musicking in a Brazilian Setting at the U of I School of Music.
