Rosalind Garcia-Tosi

Biography

Dr. Garcia-Tosi is the chief of staff at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She serves as a key advisor to the dean and leadership and leads a variety of strategic, executive, administrative, and operational activities across the college. She provides organizational assessments and recommendations and manages the development and implementation of initiatives to advance strategic priorities and to optimize integrated operations and communications in the college.

Previously, she served as the associate director of administration at the University of Michigan’s Eisenberg Family Depression Center, the director of strategic planning and evaluation as well as the director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at a children’s health center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Garcia-Tosi earned her doctorate degree from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in Health Systems Management. She also holds Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health degrees in Administration and Management and Policy from the University of Michigan. She has expertise in operations, fiscal management, strategic planning, program evaluation, staff management, maternal and child health, community outreach and education, health equity, and translational research.
